What Should I Wear For My Senior Photos?
The Flowier, The Better
Wearing a dress or skirt that you are able to move around and twirl in creates movement + energy, making your photos come alive. I will always be an advocate for twirling and dancing!
Monochromatic Looks
I’m a sucker for a good one-color look. It truly looks amazing!
Pick a color, and wear it head to toe. Bonus points if we find a location in the same color scheme ;)
Bold Colors
Want to pack a punch in your photos? Throw in a bold colors. When we pair it with a neutral, complimentary color, or the same colored background, ahh the outcome is powerful + memorable.
Subtle Patterns
A subtle pattern in one of your articles of clothing creates great texture and interest, while still letting the main focus be YOU!
Past, Current, Future
Feature your story through your high school letterman’s jacket, your current hometown through a KC shirt, or your future through your college gear. This is a sweet way to honor what you know, where you came from, and where you’ll go.
When in Doubt, Neutral it Out
White and black outfits NEVER fail and look great at any location. If you’re really stuck, stick to your neutrals and I promise you it will look good 100% of the time!
Get CREATIVE
Showcase your passions or your unique style! Whether you want to showcase your favorite hobby, wear something you support, wear a fun hat or jewelry, or just want to wear something that’s truly your own unique style — then DO IT. You are YOU. Dress like it!
Let it be known that these are not rules.
In fact, there are no rules. These are just some tips if you truly are stuck and don’t know where to start.
My biggest tip of all is…
If you are comfortable + confident in the outfit you chose, then you’ve chosen the perfect outfit.
The pressure is off friend!! It’s your personality, your smile; YOU, and not your outfit, that MAKES these photographs. Whether you’re dressed formally or casually — it’s going to be incredible + special, because YOU are in the photos :)
